Eurostar competitor enters the mix

National Express have announced their latest venture, a cross-channel rail operator in the form of Evolyn. The brand-new operator is set to compete with Eurostar and is expected to start service from London to Paris in 2025. Unveiling its plans on October 11, Evolyn said it had ‘reached an agreement’ — though did not say a firm contract — to acquire 12 Avelia high speed trains from Alstom, with options for four more.
